Squintice belt update

In my last post I told you about a belt I was weaving for a friend in my Shire that had been apprenticed in addition to already being a squire.

Well, I have completed the weaving and am now in the process of trying to get a belt buckle and tip on it.

I have included a couple of pictures here and the link to additional photos in my smugmug account (

By the way, I also forgot to mention that I got the patterns for this belt from Master Guntram's website ( He has some wonderful patterns posted with his software for patterning tabletweaving.

I started another blog to keep track of my A&S 50 challenge projects. You can read my progress here:

Okay, so my next post was supposed to be some months ago and it was supposed to be about a garment.

I got caught up in a lot of stuff, mostly traveling, and couldn't get back to my blog to make the next post.

So, here I am working on a project and I liked it so much I had to take pictures. A friend in the S.C.A. who is a squire also became an apprentice and asked me to weave him a double color belt. So we went over all kinds of patterns. Two were picked and after much fussing, cussing, and unweaving I am happy to say that I have at last achieved an even look.

Here are some photos.

More photos can be seen at my smugmug account here: look for the gallery with tabletweaving.
